Chen states that no single company can offer adequate protection but maybe some apps such as Sandboxie, Defensewall, Geswall, Returnil and some others that don't rely on signatures may offer much better protection.

Are both Geswall and Defensewall similar in function to Sanboxie?

And why wouldn't it be overhyped?

If they were detecting as much as they claim there'd be no real need for HJT logs, etc., however many of those logs have an AV already installed that didn't detect the malware. Security is as much about common sense™ as it is having adequate and a layered defense of software installed.

Just my 2 cents.
