I am crrently in the 'Options' Dialog Box. When I clicked the '?' in the upper right corner the cursor is accompanied by a '?'. When I then click on a field or its label the '?' accompanying the cursor disappears but no text is displayed!

Yes it does. Clicking on the ? puts a ? next to the mouse pointer. When you then select an option such as OK or Cancel any help is displayed and the action is not performed. It isn't a great help, I agree.

It does work IN PRINCIPLE, only the help text hasn't been added to most of the controls...
