Hello,
Love the product. Been using the registery cleaning tool with no problems. Still have all my backups. I have heard that this feature can totally disable my pc. Is there any truth to this? I am not an advanced user, but I am not a beginner either.
Thanks,
John

Welcome to Piriform John.
Well if you create the reg file for the points it removes from the registry. You could always start your computer up in Safe Mode and Merge the reg file back into the registry.
This is a very unlikely event to happen with CCleaner but the reg file is your backup.
You haven't said which Windows operating system you are using?

I am using Windows XP Home Edition. You say this unlikely to happen. Does CC know not to remove things that may look useless, but may be important to some vital program that is not running at the time of the scan?
