I need some help please. It appears that after running CCleaner programs in the Add/Remove panel are no longer listed. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, and welcome.

What version of CCleaner are you using? What programs were removed? And what OS are you using?

Also, CCleaner tasks did you run when this happened?

thanks

Hi cosmicsurfer,
It seems to me that you probably ran CCleaner and also selected some or all of the Advanced options on the Windows tab. These options will remove things like Hot Fix Unistallers which will show in your Add/Remove list until you delete them either manually or using the Cleaner function.
You probably don't see a long list of security updates like before. All of your security updates are still in effect. You just no longer have the ability to remove(reverse) them.

cosmicsurfer, have a read here, a good read before you decide if any of it applies to you

Also if you have a system restore point before you used CCleaner and had this problem try going back to it.

Also if you did the registry clean (issues) and you said yes to making a backup, try right clicking on it and choose merge. It's kept by default in 'my documents'
