Where to get embedded INI files?

Hi there,

We changed to embedding them to improve the portability of the app.

You'd be surprised how many people just distribute the CCleaner.exe file.

Thanks

So how come my winapp.ini is 66Kb and 04/07/08 and embedded_INIs_v2[1].10.zip winapp.ini is 40Kb and 07/07/08, I'm running 2.10.618. I would have thought that the winapp.ini is installed when the version is updated.

So do I overwite my 66Kb and 04/07/08 with 40Kb and 07/07/08 version? ;)

Hello Keith,

That is why they are calling them "embedded".

Your old folders are overriding what is embedded.

Remove them or you will have to install new ones each release.

Good luck,

I thought I installed new ones every updated version but the winapp.ini stops the same so it obvoiusly isn't updated. So I just change my winapp.ini for the embedded one? ;)

Thats what I did. But I ran into a problem. If you modify winapp.ini the embedded one is still used and the winap.ini is disregarded. I made several changes and they only work if its done in winapp2.ini

Edit: Just found the solution for winapp.ini

(Post #2: Suggestion 2: WinApp1.ini) http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=15158

Thanks Disk4mat.

Yes I read that in the embedded winapp.ini I downloaded. ;)

; WARNING - DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE

; If you would like to create custom entries then create a new file

; called winapp2.ini which follows the same format as this one.

; CCleaner will automatically pick up the new file.
