I don't have any problem with WinRar 3.80...it's the best tool ever.

I use WinRAR 3.60 it will open the file but it won't extract it shows this error

C:\Temp\embedded_INIs_v2[1].21.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

I'm sure it MrT reposts it it will be fine. There was a problem with the zip file a while again and he reposted after a few comments. wink.gif

come on...download the newer version, WinRar 3.8. It's much more faster and better and won't give you any errors and stuff like that! wink.gif

You can download WinRAR for free, but please note that it isn't free software. That's misleading to people who don't realise what a free download is.

It means it costs nothing to download it, but it will be a trial version which you will have to pay for when the trial runs out.

It isn't usual to recommend commercial software on this forum anyway, as there are plenty of freeware alternatives.

No, it's not trial, it gives you 40 days to evaluate it and then when you open it it simply shows you a message to buy it and when you press close you can fully work with it! You don't have to uninstall it...

Click 'Help->About' and what does it show? It clearly states: 40 days trial copy

Why put up with the nag to buy it, just grab a good freeware or open source archiver, 7-Zip comes to mind.

The problem with downloading the ZIP files has been fixed. The forum code had a bug that corrupted the files on IE. smile.gif

Be Specifc what do you mean won't download? The previous errors reported (which HAS been fixed) was not that it "will not download" but that the zip file was corrupt and wouldn't open via anything except 7-zip and maybe a few other 3rd party zip extractors. Is this the problem you are having? or is there another issue you are having?

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION
Just because something comes up on the REGCleaner section DOES NOT mean that you SHOULD remove it.
Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)
IF USING THE REGISTRY CLEANER ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T, AND DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

I used PKZIP for Windows to unzip and it had to repair the ZIP then once it extracted the files - winapp.ini was of 0 bytes.

XP Pro sp3 with full updates but running IE7...
