To Anyone That Can Help Me.

I am the computer administrator for my computer. There are no other users but me. Lately, my computer will not recognize me as the administrator.
I have tried everything that I can think of. This includes changing my name and password, But to no avail.

This is message I receive when I try to make changes to my startup. 'AN ACCESS DENIED ERROR WAS RETURNED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE A SERVICE.
YOU MAY LOG ON USING A ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT TO MAKE THE SPECIFIED CHANGES."

Appreciate any help I can get:

What service are you trying to stop/change in your startup?

Are you using msconfig, or control panel/aministrative tools, services?

Dear Hazelnut,

I am using msconfig. and wish to stop two programs from loading on startup., but computer will not allow me to make any changes. These programs are not

any longer in my add/remove list, but still appear in my startup.

Which programs are you trying to disable using msconfig? Also, do you use Zone Alarm?
