I am losing prior month restore points in WinXP SP2. Does CCleaner delete restore points ?

Hello jimx
No CCleaner does not touch restore points.
Have a good read here for problems with system restore, yours may be a space issue perhaps.

I went to the site and based on the system log that it referred me to, I saw that a hard drive that I use for data storage, had dropped below the space limit and Windows stopped all monitoring about the time I lost the restore points. Since I only use the drive for data storage I cancelled the monitoring on that drive.
There is a lot of data on the site you referred me to.
Thanks for your help.
P.S. what does CCleaner look for if I check the regedit button ?

Glad to hear that you have got your restore points issue worked out, yes there is a lot of data on that site, it's a good starting point when things go wrong.
