When launching CCleaner my fire wall reported that CCleaner was attempting to make a connection to an IP address that translated to Liquid Web in Lansing, Michigan. I am all but certain this is an innocent connection but what is the relationship between CCleaner or Piriform and Liquid Web. Should I allow this connection in the future?

Peter

Do you have the option ticked for 'automatically check for updates to CCleaner' ticked in settings?
Liquid Web is a web hosting company who may be a server for Piriform perhaps.

Yes I do have "Automatically check for Updates to CCleaner" checked. I Googled Liquid Web and saw they are a dedicated web hosting company. I assumed the connection was not malicious. I am just being cautious.
