I just tried the update in spyware blaster and sadly it wont download it. However on their site they have instructions if you have it installed already:

Upgrade Instructions

It is recommended that you uninstall your current version of SpywareBlaster before installing the new version. To do this:

1.) Open SpywareBlaster and press the "Disable All Protection" link under "Quick Tasks".
2.) Close SpywareBlaster.
3.) Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the entry named "SpywareBlaster v3.5.1"
4.) Download the latest SpywareBlaster installer from the link above and run it.
5.) Enjoy the new version of SpywareBlaster!

Edit:

Just installed it. The interface is a little different. Not sure if I like it more or not:

Besides the new interface there is a few new settings things with internet explorer 7.

Thanks for this. It has an AutoUpdate feature as well but it costs $9.95 (US) a year. It also has full Vista support.

Taken from the JavaCool site:

SpywareBlaster supports the following browsers:
  • Internet Explorer
and any browsers that use the Internet Explorer engine, including:
• The built-in AOL web browser
  • Avant Browser
  • Slim Browser
  • Maxthon (formerly MyIE2)
  • Crazy Browser
  • GreenBrowser
• Mozilla Firefox
  • Netscape
  • Seamonkey (formerly the Mozilla Browser Suite)
  • Flock
SpywareBlaster does not offer protection for Opera at this time. Since Opera does not support Active-X, malware isn't as big an issue with the Opera browser.

It's always had that.

It seems an ok update, no major changes but then it didn't really need any and no problems I've noticed.

That new GUI is pretty nice. Glad that otherwise it's the same.

Edit: Database loads much faster, when you open SB.

Thanks for the update. I've always liked this app. I like the new GUI.

That's what I'm really liking about it because the blocked Firefox cookies were really causing it to load very slowly in previous versions. The new GUI is also a delight, and I also like how custom made blockers can now have the author name saved it them.

In general the new version is blazing fast, and awesome!
