CCleaner has absolutely nothing to do with your internet connection, so go ahead and call your service provider as soon as you can. Also, what do you mean by 'the setting was missing'?

Hello DjLizard. many thanks for your quick reply. I have been on the dsl through optusnet for a month with no trouble and I installed CCleaner and ran the program on my XP PRO and when I shut it down and started it up the dsl would not start so I had to go into the Netcomm one page configuration and do a repair to get it working.
