[vvv]

I have been hit by a trojan when downloading flash player (download.exe was infected).. bitdefender indentified it, but couldn't do much about it.. I used spyware doctor and f-prot on-line scanner.. both found some adware, but not the main thing.. by this time, my computer worked as fast as a frozen mammoth.. so I restarted my computer in safe mode, done a counterspy scan, which found "disable key adware". This helped, I think. I also created a new restore point and deleted all others and deleted "download.exe" and all else connected with flash player (which i couldn't do in normal mode).
Now I would like your help in assessing the completeness of my virus/spyware removal.

P.S.: By the way: what is your opinion on Counterspy? (I use mozilla for browsing) do you have any suggestions?

Sorry, I think your post was overlooked.
Your log is clean.
I do have a few suggestions, however:
You NEED an AntiVirus application running full time on your machine.
Having a couple antispyware apps will not be an adequate defense.

Download just one of these free anti-virus programs, update it and run a full scan. Have it fix anything it finds.

Both Counterspy and Spyware Doctor are decent scanners (SD has a few more false positives), but you don't need them both as resident.

I did have Bitdefender (pro 9) installed, but it overlooked the trojan and adware I was talking about, so I replaced it with counterspy..
What do you mean when you say "AntiVirus application"? You don't mean Counterspy, do you?
Any suggestions?

Counterspy is an Anti-spyware applications as its name suggests. They work and detect differently than an Anti-Virus.
You still need an AntiVirus.
The ones I recommended are OK and free.
Removal of Bitdefender was not the best idea.
This is a potential emergency for you until you download , update, and scan with one of them.
