I ran the CCleanup program and now my A-Aware program won't open. I get "system error 1810, service is not on line", in a pop-up box. I deleted the Ad-Aware program and reinstalled it from a fresh download. I still get the error pop up and the program won't open.
Is there a way to roll back changes after running the cleanup.
I was going to run the Windows XP restore feature but magically it had been turned off. I did not do it. I fully value the restore feature. I used the merge feature to restore registry changes but it didn't fix the problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

System restore is not usually much help in these cases.
If you type ad-aware 1810 in Google you will get around 20,000 hits, so you are not alone with your problem. Have a browse though a few, including this one... http://www.lavasoft...._aaw2007.php#18
