Hi everyone
everytime i open the msn window from the system tray i get a script error (Internet Explorer script error : An error has occured in the script on this page.....)
I did a little search on the internet and found out some things but nothing worked for me.
I also searched for possible infections but i 'm clean.
I'll give you a hint:
Before this error i installed the mvps host program.
I don't if there is any relation between these two , but i mention it.

Tried disabling the hostsfile? Seems to me that would be the first, or most obvious troubleshoot step.
Hostsman is a rather good program to control and update same, BTW.

I disabled the HOSTS file and everything is ok now.
Is there any way that i could use it without the messenger being affected?

Yep, I have the same "problem" and it's occurring because the HOSTS file has entries which block various messenger-related ads. Notice that the banner is gone at the bottom of the window?

You can just press No, or if irritated by that message, you can also manually go trough the HOSTS file and remove entries related to messenger-ads. They are something like ads.live or ads.msn. Personally, I just don't care as I log into service once a day.
