In my humble opinion, this is the best music site on the web.

As long as it's in the database, you can listen to, and put in your playlist, albums that have just recently been released.

Example, I was listening to Springsteens "Magic" the same week it came out.

Do you have to register to hear some of the songs? Alot I searched for had the play buttons greyed out.

It won't let me register.

I've been across to the forums, and there's a few bugs to iron out. The greyed out items were a problem on V1 and it seems it isn't quite sorted yet.

If you play around with it, for example if you get a list of songs from your search, click on the album name, and it brings up the album, if it's in the database, and you might get active buttons instead of the greyed out ones.

Isn't it embarrasing when you bang on about something and it lets you down. I did a search for Snow Patrol earlier today, and got a huge list of playable songs.

Tried the same search just then, and they were all greyed out.

I've got a playlist of around 30 albums which include a lot of recent releases, so when it's working, it's pretty awesome, but with these bugs still there, it sucks a bit.

I'm registered on the forums, so I'll see whats happening.

Edit: If you haven't already, select "music", and you get a choice of search options.

Just an update to say that Deezer is working great for me now. There is some news re the greyed out items.

Regarding the greyed songs, we have to apply some territorial restrictions and the Artists from Sony BMG and Universal are blocked during the negociations. We hope that everything will be ok in a few weeks.

I can see a lot of posts in this blog regarding the technical issues. The only way to contact our Tech Team is to contact them directly through this form www.deezer.com/contactez-nous.php

Stay tuned, there is something in the air…

I now have 29 albums in my play list which all play fine.

If you do a search and your result comes up with greyed out tracks, try this:

Click on the album name and the album may pop up with all tracks active. If not add it to your favourites, and it will then probably have all active tracks. So far, it's worked with everything I've tried.

To keep your settings, and auto login, Deezer uses flash cookies, found here:

I use this site every time I'm on the web, and although it may still have a few bugs to work out, it's getting better all the time.

I've just done a search for Bob Seger, and up popped 4 pages of his stuff, all playing fine.

Hope it works for you.

Dennis, since you first posted about this site, I've used it.

It's good just to surf around, and have albums playing on another tab.

Great site.
