This is my first serious attempt/need to find a file that is missing. When I input 'Firefox passwords' or 'Mozilla passwords'
I get a long list of files found that are impossible to decipher as 'passwords' from their description. What exactly should I input in search box?

I've no idea how to do it that way, but until something better comes along, you could try running SIW.

It's a simple program (exe file only), that provides a wealth of information about your computer. Once launched and finished gathering information (a few seconds only), clicking on "secrets" (scroll way down the page) gives me every one of my Firefox usernames and passwords for every site I log onto.

Not sure if you need to be in administrator mode to do this, but you'd probably have to have Firefox configured to "remember passwords for sites".

Worth a try.
