Maybe this will make some people jump to Firefox in the mean time and they will like it and stay with it. The sooner we can flush Internet Craplorer the better.

I don't have this problem with IE7

This Hotfix indicates that it is for IE6 but this fix also applies to IE7

3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.

6. Type an asterisk symbol (*), and then press ENTER.

Note The asterisk symbol (*) represents any process name that uses Urlmon.dll. If you want to make this change for an individual application that uses Urlmon.dll, you can use the name of that application instead of the asterisk symbol (*). For example, you can use Appname.exe.
7. Right-click the asterisk symbol (*), and then click Modify.
8. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
9. Exit Registry Editor.

Personally IE7 with protected mode in Vista is great. However, Firefox offers two things that make me use it more: 1) Can turn off the Harddisk cache 2) Many more extensions.

Pfipps what do you see as being important to turn off caching in IE7 under Vista? In FF its still in memory and you still have to download it.

The lack of default protected mode for FF is a killer IMHO. I guess more informed users will use something like sandboxie but the majority of casual users wont.
