Human... they should cherish life more, don't you think? They should cherish the present. Life is a collection of that. So life isn't a rehearsal for that. Everyday is the real thing. You should live today to the fullest. If you don't, won't you feel sorry for yourself? - Onizuka Eikichi

I was interested in using Recuva, but after seeing this post that has not been addressed for eighteen days, I'm a little reluctant to install it on my computer.
At approximately 1300 CST, U.S., I downloaded the installation from Hungry Hippo, scanned the file using the same resources as user MW 8203, and got the same results.
I sent and email to Piriform via http://www.piriform.com/contact at 1340 CST asking that this topic be addressed ASAP.
Although I feel that the results may be false positives, I'm surprised that this issue has not been resolved since the original post on December 5th.

You could take the lack of replies from forum members as a good sign - nobody else seems to have this problem.
It's highly likely to be a false positive by the AV software. My AV software, and I guess the AV software of the rest of the forum members, shows Recuva to be clean.
Rgds.

try another anti-virus, and lets see if it brings up the same issues, but the best thing to do would be to uninstall this version you've got and download it from source.... Piriform..
