I cannot merge (restore) the cc cleaner backup file to the registry. When I attempt to do the merge an error message says "cannot import all the data because some keysare open by the system". Does someone know how to get around this problem

Try to do it after a reboot, or in Safe Mode (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222).

Hello. I tried to do merging with cc backup but after right click and pushing on merge, first it open a note file.
And then?
Sorry, but I am not so clever on pc problems.
Thank you.

Make sure the backup file has .reg after it.
CCLEANER, RECUVA, DEFRAGGLER AND SPECCY DOCUMENTATION CAN BE FOUND HERE

I am sorry, bur nothing it happens after merging.
It only open a note file with all registry information that begins with "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" etc.
When I close him no registry has been restored.
In fact I do not found thw registries back in the cleaner display.
Probably I did a mistake or I miss something.
Thank you again for help.

Trying it after a reboot does not work. I'll try safemode and see if that's the ticket. Thanks for your help.
