I have been using CCleaner about 1 year now. This week when I ran CCleaner a window came up down at the bottom right of my screen saying that the file or directory C://$mft is corrupt and unreadable. Please run th Chkdsk utility.
I was still able to run CCleaner. I was wanting to know how do I run the Chkdsk utility.

Standard scan (only takes a few minutes), use it via Start->Run (you have to schedule the scan for the next system startup, then reboot):
chkdsk /f c:
Full scan (can take up to 45 minutes to 2 hours, or even longer depending on your hard disk size), use it via Start->Run (you have to schedule the scan for the next system startup, then reboot):
chkdsk /r c:
