I always wonder why does the arm running over the platters make that scratching noise after a while i hate it i want it to be silent looool

That skipping noise isn't really a good sign. I had a hard disk back in the Win98 era that did that and it would randomly have corrupt files, and sometimes it would corrupt the OS installation out of nowhere.
Complexity of incoherent design.

i always heard this was normal as the harddrive over time gathers physical errors on the surface
