Up until today I've been able to use Manual update.
Today I just keep getting a massage: Failed to connect to server updateasfree.grisoft.com
Any one els having this problem?

Yes, I get an error message also.

Askey just posted this link to the manual update site: http://www.ewido.net...wnload/updates/

I downloaded and ran the .exe. :)
The SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

It's happened before..don't know what causes it, but they eventually fix it.

Is this a usual event with AVG?

The free versions of both AVG Antivirus ( Free ) and AVG Anti-Spyware get their updates from servers that do not have as much bandwidth as their Pro ( paid ) versions have... so they basically can get overloaded easier... Usually you can just wait a little while later and get updates without a problem.

Thanks for the info rdsok :) , It never occurred to me that it might be an issue regarding "Free or Paid" for versions.
