Thanks for checking rridgely , No more problems since I have let Norton AV "Quarantine" and keep the risks it found.
Should I remove "delete" Smitfraud Fix? I realize it's a tool, however do I need to keep it?

You can remove it without problems. Wont change anything either way besides the little amount of hd space it uses.

Theres no uninstall procedure?

BTW I removed Norton AV-(used their removal tool) and now I'm using (AVG 7.5)
My machine seems to have a new lease on life
It boots up faster and just seems more responsive
