I win!

Parents bought it for $1200. We somehow get HD channels, but we aren't sure if its our cable or over the airwaves. They're at night, so NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS and one or two others come in at night. We got it in time to watch the last game of the World Series, and impresses me more and more.

Going to hook up the DVD player with surround sound so I can finally watch movies in Widescreen...note: DVD player is not an up-converting one... It's a Go-Video DVD/VHS combo.

Will do..my dad is already considering an up converting DVD player, from advice from my uncle. HD channels, especially sports, are amazing. Now that we have the surround sound (Creative Soundworks 5.1 system with a Sony receiver) plus our DVD/VHS player working, it is amazing!

Watched Star Wars Episode III the other night....wow!
