suggestions for freeware Portable Folder Locks

I tried Folder lock and Instant lock both crapped out on me for some strange reason and was really hard to get rid of them from the system...

Any suggestions?

I haven't tried any of these but I found this site in my bookmarks. In particular the Remora USB Disk Guard from:
