I used recuva to get a bunch of pictures back and it seemed to work but I can only see about 10% of them. The files are .jpg but for some reason windows says 'No preview available'

Any suggestions?

I've noticed that many recovered pictures that Windows can't preview,
can be perfectly opened and read using some other software (eg. IrfanView).

Which version of Recuva are you using grimey?

It may tempt to recover jpg's and if you look at the filesize they are 0 bytes therefore they won't show in thumbnails.

There appeared to be a problem with the latest version recovering jpg files.

JPG partial recovery

I think MrRon will sort this for the next version.

Recuva 1.08.174 is out now, I haven't tried it yet but I'm presuming the jpg recovery has been fixed.
