When I first setup this PC I made a mistake in spelling the name I gave the computer. I'd like to correct this error but darn if I can find the proper place. Guidance please.

Assuming it's WinXP (you didn't say) go to Start>Control Panel>System>Computer Name tab and click the 'Change' button

I should have mentioned the OS,sorry. It's a Vista Home. I got to the place you mentioned and am seeing another problem.

The area includes, "Computer Name, Full Computer Name, Computer Description, and Workgroup." To the right is "Change Settings." I'm able to change Computer Description but see no place to change Computer Name.

In addition, your reply almost beat me posting the message!! You were quick tonight, (night here). Thanks,
Mudd

Thank you, that was the ticket! I used to be able to find things like this before I got "dumb and old." Your time and effort is appreciated.
