It said that realtech was spyware and didnt even spell spyware right.

Wrong spellings is the least of someones problems when trying to sort out malware, it is a german site, how good is your translation.

Thats true, didnt know it was a german site. Thanks for the link though, I might start using it on friends and family members pc's.

Even Lavasoft's AdAware was well known for false positives at one point. As Spybots Search & Destroy website say, it is better to delay updates and ensure that findings are correct, rather than rush out definition files that create false positives.
The thing is where do you draw the line, you want to be as quick and forthcoming with updates as soon as you can, but do not want to be incorrect in what you are doing.
The way technology evolves, there will always be things doing more harm than good, albeit with good intentions.
Maybe I should return to my Sinclair ZX81, my biggest problem then was making sure my 16k ram pack never became disconnected during use, more often than not it did though.
