When CCleaner empties Recycle Bin, does it wipe it?

If I set CCleaner to empty the Recycle Bin as part of its cleaning task, does it shred the files there as it does with the other rubbish (3 passes, in my case), or simply empty it, as per Windows?

as far as i know it shredds them.

Totally shreds them.. Recuva, Undelete Software, and GetDataBack has not been able to find traces of deleted software.

it shreds the file(s) then overwrites it to make it unrecoverable
