Hi guys.

I normally never post at these forums, as I am aware of the fact that most solutions to these problems are already out there.

This one, however, I haven't encountered anywhere, whereas I post my issues at (what I hope to be) the appropriate site.

The issue that I am having is this:

I am having problems with the security hotfix for XPSP2: KB927779. This update refuses to install itself onto my system and as a result the automatic windows updater loops itself, installing the hotfix over and over.

Now I installed CCleaner in the hope of removing the hotfix and reinstalling it.
I slipped, and removed the hotfix uninstaller instead.

Now I can't find the uninstaller for the flawed hotfix anywhere, and tips from the net have so-far ended up fruitless.

I will now system restore an earlier point this day to try and correct everything.

Hello nicco and welcome to the forum :)

If you do manage to get to do a sys restore to where the hotfix uninstaller is back you could have a read of this thread. This thread and others I have looked at seem to suggest you are not alone with this problem.
