I just want to know which option allows me to keep the history of my network connections ?

Maybe Un-ticking History in the Internet Explorer section:

History
Much like the Internet Cache, IE also records and stores the addresses of all the websites you have visited. Selecting this option will safely remove the record of websites you have visited.

Otherwise run CCleaner with only one option ticked until you find out option which clears it.
