I am new to this forum and I am not sure if this is being placed in the correct section.

Although I have installed the latest update of the CC Cleaner, when I run CC Cleaner, It does not delete the temporary internet files.

Could AVG be interefering with the CC Cleaner software?

I need to know what to do because if it was not for CC cleaner I would not have realised that one of the files i.e. winlog.exe was a virus file. This was eventually deleted by AVG.

Can you help.

Have you run a full virus scan since finding that virus file, you may have a virus preventing the temp files deletion.

JD Power, Yes, AVG is run once a week, it does not appear to have picked up anything. I will do an unscheduled virus scan to see if anything shows up this time.

Thanks for your response and advice.

Following on from doing an unscheduled virsu scan and running CCleaner again I noticed that it did not remove certain internet temp files in fact 279 of them.

I emailed the following to CCleaner, but they informed me that I should post it on this site.

Dear CC Cleaner for the past 2 weeks I have been unable to delete 279 of the files. Obviously there must be a virus which is smarter than your cleaner and that of the free virus scanner AVG. I have tried everything and everytime I attempt to use the CCleaner it cancels before it is able to delete any of these files. What can I do and is it worth me having your software and that of AVG if they do not work?
