Hi guys

Windows Messenger?
Do I need this to "PM" people on these forums?
Also If I join up or subscribe to (.NET Messenger Service) with a (.NET Passport) what security issues do I need to look at or make adjustments to? Windows Firewall? etc...
At the moment I don't have any Instant Messenger program setup.

PMs on the forum is more like email. You don't need any other software to use it.
Just click the "0 new messages" in the top right and you can start sending people messages.

Windows Messenger is an instant messenger program which means you get to respond instantly to people.(think of it as almost talking on the phone compared to email which is closer to mailing a letter.) I wouldn't install it unless there is someone you know who also uses it.

As far as security goes.. don't click links from people you don't know or trust. Thats about it.
