I have disabled Ctfmon.exe from starting, when Windows starts up. HiJackThis version 2 shows, that it's still present under some Run keys in registry . Is it save to remove those ctfmon.exe entries or is there any purpose for doing it?
It's under these keys:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Ctfmon.exe
