Hi all

Noticed some suspect looking files that Norton AV and even Spybot-SD don't seem worried about?
This is one of the more obvious files, (*uck.exe) please excuse it's name and understand that I have replaced (f) with (*) and the path goes like this.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\*uck.exe

When Norton AV is doing a scan, it displays files that it is "scanning" and when it finishes it's scan, it says there are no viruses, spyware or other risks.
Should I be concerned?
If I search for this file' Windows cant find it?
Any helpful advice is appreciated

Update: I have just done a HijackThis scan and saved a log file.
If needed I will post it in the Spyware Hell - HijackThis log Analysis Forum.

Hi craigathus

Please do post a HijackThis log if you feel there is malware problems as thats a good starting point, also get the file(s) you find suspicious scanned at VirusTotal and post back the results

Visit VirusTotal

Open the scan site and press Browse, locate the file and double click it to load the path into the Virus scan window then press Send, copy and paste the Virus scan results back with a HijackThis log and we can take it from there.
