Every single time, same exact thing happens and I don't know what to do.

Hello AquaX :)

Have you used CCleaner before?

Do you have any other computer problem at the moment?

What operating system do you use?

I did everything that thread said but nothing. I was able to install it, but the problem here is it won't work.

Do you get the same error message?

Did you rename the installer?

Did you try the VB runtime download?

Perhaps you could try again by uninstalling CCleaner and downloading the basic build (without yahoo toolbar) from here.

Make sure you choose save and not run when you download it to your desktop.

Let us know how you get on.

I got that same error message with the basic download. It was already named ccsetup140.exe not CCleaner.exe, so I know I can factor that out. The VB runtime didn't do anything whatsoever.

Does it say anything in the event viewer at the time that you try to run it?

Just in case you aren't familiar with where it is, go to start>control panel>admin tools>event viewer and look under system, if there is an error double click on it and it will give some info.

Sorry if you already know this :)
