No error log was generated for this issue.

• I run Recuva as administrator.
  
• I click ‘Scan’ (Drive C:)
  
• Recuva finds in excess of 140000 files @ 100% of the search process.
  
• Processing dialogue box appears for a few seconds.
  
• Processing dialogue box disappears.
  
• ‘(Not Responding)’ notification appears in the title bar.
  
• I also notice it still says 'Searching' in the lower left corner.

The only way forward is to click the 'X' button and close the program when the 'Recuva is not responding' dialogue box appears.

I've Run Recuva on drive D: - found a similar number of files and displayed/functioned without a problem.

I've Run Recuva on drive E: (NAT DRIVE) - displayed/fuctioned without a problem.

You should post a debug report for the admin as well.

Open the properties of the recuva shortcut and add /debug to the end (outside the quotes), check if recuva leaves a log file, copy and paste the contents here.

After that try what I did to fix a similar problem (it would freeze/crash at ~80%):

Try running a chkdsk on each the C: drive

Click: Start, Run
Type: cmd
Press: Enter
type: chkdsk C: /F /V /R /X
Press: Enter
Press: Y to accept check on reboot
Restart your PC
Note down any errors chkdsk fixes
Test out recuva
