IE Needs To Close Problem?

Okay so whenever I go to My Computer, after awhile a window always comes up. It says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close etc etc etc". Its a virus isnt it? Anyone know how to get rid of it? If Im posting in the wrong category, sorry...
