Because Im cheap(Free) and wanted something quick I went with Zoomshare.com. Just to make sure, has anyone has heard anything bad about them? If I start to like it I probably will go with Taruns suggestion.

I don't trust it. They don't say up front what the limits are for bandwidth, site space, etc.

The main concern I have is with their privacy policy. From what I understand they get info from my site such as email addresses and send ads. If you dont mind read it and tell me what you think.

This ucan be done by emailing customer support at customerservice@digitalwork.com

They can't even spell CAN properly. Peh, forget that site. Please.

A free host I heard of was neutrolon or something like that. I'll look for it again soon.

I work for Zoomshare and your comments are helpful thanks for the feedback.

Zoomshare is as legit as can be. We only use the e-mail address to let you know when new technology is being offered.

In terms of webspace, you have as much space as we have. If you can use a GB worth of space we can store it. However, we have a web editing tool and we only upload gif, jpg files. So it probably will take a user a long time to reach a GB worth of space.

You can use your webpages for anything you see fit, even putting photos on your page is an option. However, we have a photo album to store photos in an effort to help you organize your page.

About our mistype of "Can", I will promise you that will be corrected. Every one makes a mistake and that typo is clearly a mistake more then it is a reflection of our service.

Zoomshare sites are mainly for the novice user who does not have the understanding/time to make a HTML formed webpage. I highly recommend our service because we will never invade your webspace with ads or pop-ups about any service.

We listen to all feedback and anything that we can do to improve our service we will.

-Look for new tools and features this summer-

Thanks for your time,
Zoomshare Marketing

You need a webhost, some offer file upload via a webinterface, or online wysywig (What you see is what you get) editors but in most you need an FTP client. There are also sites in which you can enter criterias and search for suitable webhosts.

A FTP client you can get at http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

Avoid using GIF images on the site, use PNG it generally offers greater quality and compression. Try make the website as fast as possible to navigate and avoid heavy graphics use.
Use a font that is easy to read.

Follow the w3c webstandards. Make sure the page validates as correct HTML or even better XHTML.
