I am receiving an error message saying my screen resolution and color depth settings are low but the computer won't let me change them. A message asks if I want Windows to automatically correct the problem which I click yes to but nothing happens. Any suggestions.

Sounds like it could be a graphics driver problem. Try reinstalling the graphics driver from backup CD if you have one or from the graphics cards website (Windows Update MIGHT have an older one)

If you have an ATI card, and you downloaded the update from Microsoft, it might have done it. I did, and when I rebooted, my computer was running at a lower than low resolution. I was able to make it out to the ATI site, download the drivers, and everything was good.

Hope this helps.
