noetus
I hope Recuva support is reading this, as I don't have a premium account, but I also don't see why I should pay in order to file bug reports so I'm not going to open a premium account just to file this report. Recuva hangs on install on my system. It hangs at the point of "Checking system and updates". It is not using CPU when it hangs. "Show details" shows the following message: "Please wait, installing Recuva... Output folder: C:\Program Files\Recuva" I have checked and that folder HAS been created, with a single file in it (checkupdate.txt, which is empty). I have tried using msconfig to load Windows only minimally (all non-Windows services off, all startup items unchecked) and it still happens. I have also tried installing an older version of Recuva and it still happens. I have to manually stop the install routine (after half an hour nothing has happened) using Task Manager. This leaves my system in an undetermined state - Recuva has been partially installed.
