Aethec
CCleaner is not an antivirus. We already have a "which AV do you use" thread : http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=17628 Piriform French translator
JDPower
Does ccleaner have a virus protection for download? If not, which one do you reccommend? Most will recommend Avast or Avira of the free ones. Personally I use Avira and have done for a year or so now with no problems, though I have no experience with the newly released version 10 (I will stick with V9 till support runs out, thus avoiding any early bugs or issues the new version may have)
CTskifreak
...and CCleaner is not the company, Piriform is. AJ

kroozer
Hi Kay, welcome to the forums. I use all these free security programs: Avast http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/ Mbam http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html Time Freeze http://www.wondershare.com/pro/time-freeze.html I feel very secure, especially when connected with Time Freeze turned on. Moderators Andavari Posted May 17, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2010 I'd recommend following the advice in Preventing Malware and Safe Computing on this forum.
login123
Same as Kroozer's post 6 above, except using Avira on the older, slower laptop. No Spybot on the laptop, 'cause the tea timer runs heavy. Spyware blaster on both. Spywareguard on the desktop. :-) edit: forgot the links, but they are all in that thread Andavari cited. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
