On second thought, do this entry for Starcraft 2 Logs instead.

Modifed entry:

[OpenRA Logs*]

DetectFile=%Documents%\OpenRA

FileKey1=%Documents%\OpenRA\Logs|*.*

Renamed and removed replays and warning from this entry.

New entry:

[OpenRA Replays]

Section=Games

Warning=This will remove all of your Replays.

DetectFile=%Documents%\OpenRA

Moved replays to this entry. It's better to keep these in separate entries, in case people want to keep replays, but don't care about the log files.

FileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung\Samsung Magician|*.log;*.txt|RECURSE
FileKey5=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung\Samsung Magician\Logs|*.*

Added FileKey 3. Removed one the detects as it is not needed.

By the way, @Siliconman01, did you write this entry? I just ask cause I see you have 2 Samsung SSDs and I am not aware of any logs being located outside the log folder (AKA FileKey4).

Yes, I think I did submit this entry.  I have Samsung 850 Pro SSDs and also Samsung 950 Pro NVMe M.2 SSDs.  I am running Samsung Magician V4.97.

If you are referring to FileKey4, I make it a point not to enter any entries that are not physically visible in my folders when I write up a submission.  So there must have been a .log and .txt file in folder Samsung Magician at the time I wrote up the entry.  How it got there and why, I really cannot attest to.  :blink:

Your modification certainly looks okay to me.

Not my FileKeys

Are you sure that's not a custom location you chose to install to? I have Magician and it's installed to %ProgramFiles%\Samsung\Samsung Magician like the rest of the original entry too

It is the default path for the 64-bit location. If you move it from (x86) to the 64-bit directory for program files, it will, by default, rename it to that instead.

I was referring to the lack of a Samsung folder in your path, perhaps Windows specific path differences (Win7 here).

(although on a side point I wasn't aware there was a specific 64bit version, using 64 bit Windows but Magician installer installs to Program Files (x86) by default here)

I use CCleaner (the latest version with the latest winapp2.ini) and then another system cleaner.  I'd be interested if someone could look at the files the other utility cleans and come up with entiries to add to Winapp2.ini please.  Anyone willing to help with this endeavor?

P.S.

some are like:

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Open Find

C:\Users\Galloway\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\*.db

The other thing - be nice if CCleaner could do a BeforeClean= and an AfterClean= and both would run the applications either before or/and after the entry was cleaned.

Wow, those all (at least two of them) are terrible ideas to clean.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Usually stuff in the Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ directory isn't anything useful in there. I don't know about the other ones you have.

A user suggested on the GitHub page to make another winapp2 with more advanced/aggressive entries, however, I don't know if it will happen

Removing softwaredistribution can/will break windows update. That's why it has not been re-added to winapp2

Why give us a list. You've been here long enough, create entries let them be judged by the thread on their agressive/gentleness

Does it still break WU if you

         net stop wuauserv

before cleaning the folder then

        net start wuauserv

after....

I have no idea, but it's a moot point when discussing the community template because 99.9(repeating)8 percent of users will not be doing that every (or any) clean. If you want an entry to clean it, in your own ccleaner, feel free, but this is a file that, though they shouldn't, gets used in whole by a lot of people who don't know better.
