spetho2001
I just started to use the free CCleaner and I did the registry backup, just in case. Can anyone tell me if they usually delete the registry backup file that went into my DOCUMENTS folder by default? If so do you usually wait a week or so or what? Thank you, TomS

Can anyone tell me if they usually delete the registry backup file that went into my DOCUMENTS folder by default? If so do you usually wait a week or so or what? Thank you, TomS Kinda depends on the entries you removed. For instance: the invalid dll for old versions of .net I wait a day or two. For an application that I rarely use I might keep the file til I randomly discover it months or years later. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
