Djard
If CCleaner finds no problems scanning the registry, it does not offer the user the ability to create a backup of a good registry. Is there some other place in the GUI that lets you create a backup of the registry?
Moderators Nergal Posted April 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 14, 2014 No, I'm sorry to tell you the only backup available in ccleaner is pre pre-cleaning save of items to be removed ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Djard
Thanks for the kind reply. I'll try the recommended app because I don't like Windows' regedit. Cheers
login123
For xp and earlier there is ERUNT. Haven't used it for a long time, though. http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/erunt.html The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
