Chrome Forced to Close. History Not Deleted

Recommended Posts

WIN 7 Home Premium 64-bit. SP 1

Chrome 40.0.2214.93 m

CCleaner 5.02.5101 (64-Bit)

Since the last two Free CCleaner versions were installed, prior to the analysis CC has posted a dialog box stating that Chrome had not closed. It was closed. CC asked to close Chrome and I said yes. CC said Chrome had not closed and  would I like CC to force a closure. I said yes but the Chrome information was not deleted when the cleaning was complete.

I have unchecked the Chrome "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed".  Unchecking had no effect.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
