irishmist20
WIN 7 Home Premium 64-bit. SP 1 Chrome 40.0.2214.93 m CCleaner 5.02.5101 (64-Bit) Since the last two Free CCleaner versions were installed, prior to the analysis CC has posted a dialog box stating that Chrome had not closed. It was closed. CC asked to close Chrome and I said yes. CC said Chrome had not closed and would I like CC to force a closure. I said yes but the Chrome information was not deleted when the cleaning was complete. I have unchecked the Chrome "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed". Unchecking had no effect. Irish
irishmist20
I just tried CCleaning again and it worked fine, as before the updated versions. Perhaps I had to close and open Chrome after unchecking the background apps. Irish
Moderators Nergal Posted January 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 30, 2015 Glad you got it worked out ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
