Willy2
Microsoft recommends to remove a number of updates. They have problems with those updates. http://www.infoworld.com/article/2835571/microsoft-windows/microsoft-says-best-way-to-fix-botched-kb-2949927-patch-is-to-kill-it.html A number of things gave a clue that even MS has problems getting the updates right - I downloaded the latest stand-alone updates and some had the letters "-v2-" or "-v3-" in the name. It clearly suggests that those updates had to be updated/improved/were a bit buggy. - the name of the update. The name of the update started with a (comparatively) low KB number. Something was fishy. - some updates weren't available for downloading http://www.infoworld.com/article/2834535/security/four-more-botched-black-tuesday-patches-kb-3000061-kb-2984972-kb-2949927-and-kb-2995388.html http://www.infoworld.com/article/2607451/microsoft-windows/microsoft-ships-replacement-patch-kb-2993651-with-two-known-bugs.html System setup: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gcNzIPEjEb0B2khOOBVCHPc A discussion always stimulates the braincells !!! Willy2
No, I also didn't have any problems. But I pulled the update anyway. Don't know if I should remove the other updates as well. Willy2
Here an example that Microsoft doesn't get its updates right. It was a second version of the updates. See the blue underlined tekst in the picture attached. The picture shows part of the installed updates/patches. The addition "v2" shows even MS has problems with Always getting it right the first time around.
