jhubs58
I own an ASUS Transformer T100TA-C1-GR Netbook. I have CCleaner installed on it. I want to really clean the SSD by performing a full wipe of the drive. However, Windows 8.1 OS is pre-installed on this unit. If I perform a full drive wipe opposed to a free space wipe, will I also delete the OS? Is the OS on the SSD as a separate partition or physically located on a separate drive. If anyone knows, please advise...thks!
Willy2
- Yes, if you perform a full drive wipe of the C: drive (where the OS in nearly all of the cases is installed) then you also will wipe/remove/lose the Windows 8.1 OS and ALL your (presonal) data . Then you'll need to re-install the OS. System setup: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gcNzIPEjEb0B2khOOBVCHPc A discussion always stimulates the braincells !!!
