Chim
Back when the new CCleaner GUI Look first came out, a lot of us brought up the issue / opinion of how ugly, horrible, Etc. it was. Eventually we were strongly urged to back off because supposedly the Devs were already aware that they had messed up and they would be better able to work on rectifying the situation if the detractors stayed off their backs. Well, we backed off ... and now several revisions later at v5.05.5176 the GUI Look is pretty much entrenched in that look that had a lot of us complaining. What happened to the alleged fixing of the look once we backed off? Because while there are now many ugly looks out there on websites as well as on Apps GUIs ... CCleaner's still surpasses all of them in having gone overboard with the watering down.
Moderators Nergal Posted April 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 30, 2015 There was no such understanding that the flat look was apt to change. It likely will not until such time that the industry moves to a new graphical scheme. (And in no way did anybody "back-off") There is a dedicated thread for complaints about the 5.x GUI, so I've closed this thread, please continue to comment in the dedicated thread, thank you. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted April 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 30, 2015 From the twilight zone this one was. Assumptions get you nowhere. I fully agree with Nergal. And thankfully this topic was already locked!
