OLLI_S
Hello, at the moment I am testing CCleaner Cloud (I used Agomo in the past, so I gave CCleaner Cloud an other try). So I have installed it in Windows 10 in a Virtual Machine (VirtualBox). I am also using Sandboxie on my PC (physical PC) so I also installed Sandboxie in the Virtual Machine. When I do a CCleaner Cloud scan of my Virtual Machine and have checked the Application "Sandboxie" then CCleaner Cloud finds 0 files. When I run CCleaner 64 Portable (the desktop application) on my Virtual Machine then CCleaner finds 3780 files with 405 MB for Sandboxie. I scan here the same machine (Virtual Machine). What is the problem? Greetings OLLI

OLLI_S
Hello hazelnut, Why would you want to use Ccleaner to clean Sandboxie when all you have to do is close the sandbox for the files to disappear? What do you mean by "Close the sandbox"? I can close all applications inside the sandbox (like all browsers) but then all data remains in the sandbox. Or I can right click on the Sandboxie icon in the System Tray, select the sandbox, then select "Delete Contents" and then click on the button "Delete Contents" (4 mouse clicks). I don't know a feature called "Close the sandbox". I know there is an option "Automatically delete contents of sandbox" when the last sandboxed program is closed. But this option is not checked by default (so normal users will not have this checked). CCleaner Cloud offers "Sandboxie" so this should work. And when I schedule the "CCleaner" on my computers then the contents of the sandbox will also be deleted. So this problem should be fixed by Piriform. Moderators hazelnut Posted January 7, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2016 I was referring to 'delete contents' either by tray, or have 'automatically delete contents of sandbox when the last sandboxed program is closed' enabled. There are very few ''normal'' Sbie users out there, I've been a sbie user for 7 years It's an interesting situation you are asking about, but one that I don't face preferring to deal with sbie myself. OLLI_S
Hello, I installed CCleaner Cloud on my PC (physical PC). Then I opened CCleaner.com in Microsoft Edge (not sandboxed). On CCleaner.com I go to the tab "CCleaner" and then on "Applications". When I right click on "Sandboxie" and select "Analyze" then CCleaner Cloud tells me: 0 B to be removed (approximate size) When I do the same in CCleaner 64 Portable (the desktop application) on my PC then CCleaner 64 Portable tells me: Utilities - Sandboxie 209.492 KB 2.092 files CCleaner Cloud can nor delete files from Sandboxie. And this is a problem in CCleaner Cloud. Greetings OLLI
OLLI_S
Hello, today I tested this issue again, but the problems still exist. On my physical PC CCleaner Cloud finds still 0 MB for Sandboxie. Where CCleaner Desktop finds 319.103 KB 2.049 files Greetings OLLI
Moderators hazelnut Posted May 2, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 2, 2016 Personally I would never allow any 3rd party cleaner to interfere in any way with my Sandboxes. Sandboxie is unticked in Ccleaner (the default as you know) All content deletions of my sandboxes are dealt with through Sandboxie itself. For an explaination of your findings perhaps contact Piriform directly https://piriform.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
OLLI_S
Hello hazelnut, if an application (CCleaner Cloud) offers an option (to clean the files from Sandboxie) then this feature should work. In CClenaer Desktop it is working, so it should also work in CCleaner cloud. If you would never allow an 3rd party tool to touch your sandboxed files, then this is OK for you. But if CCleaner Cloud offers the feature, it should work. By the way: I went to my CCleaner Cloud account and created a ticket from there.
